Native plant species lists available – online & printed
We have uploaded the DSE Native Plant Lists for the North East region, to the Regional Landcare Facilitator site on the Landcare Gateway (as these are not currently linked via the new DEPI website): www.landcarevic.net.au/northeast/rlf/resources/native-plant-lists
Please forward this link to the members of your local Landcare group, as they are a key resource for all landholders when undertaking any native planting projects. A guide is available for each local area, with a map and descriptions of the different land classes and vegetation types, to enable the user to correctly determine the appropriate indigenous plants to choose for their property. It is important that appropriate species are used for any planting project, to ensure that the plants are enhancing the biodiversity values of existing remnant vegetation and provide habitat for native fauna.
* We can also provide your Landcare group with printed colour copies of the guide/s relevant to your area, for distribution within your local community. Please advise me of which guide/s you would like and how many copies (by 15th June).
