Management of agricultural pests and diseases in Western Australia has been given a boost, with the State Government’s announcement of a $20 million biosecurity program.
Over four years, the Boosting Biosecurity Defences project will focus on protecting local produce and exports through a variety of initiatives, including a pilot Mediterranean fruit fly (Medfly) eradication program.
