Introducing Melanie Tyas – NLN’s New National Landcare Facilitator!

National Landcare Network is excited to introduce Melanie Tyas to the team, as the new National Landcare Facilitator for the Strengthen Landcare – Nature Repair program.

Melanie has over 20 years’ experience in community and environmental resource management and education, bringing together diverse stakeholders to achieve positive environmental outcomes. Melanie has a BA DipEd and a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies.

Having worked recently for Landcare NSW as State Community of Practice and Events

Manager, as well as for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Department of Education, Melanie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role.

Melanie is excited to be delivering this new program, and to be supporting and engaging with Landcare and community groups across the country. Over the coming weeks, Melanie will be liaising with Landcare groups to gain feedback on what the main priority areas are and how the Program can best meet the needs of each state.
