NLN’s 2025 AGM: Celebrating Achievements and Looking Forward to an Inspiring Year for Landcare

Dec 12, 2025

The National Landcare Network (NLN) convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, 26th November 2025, gathering members, stakeholders, and supporters from across the country. This event marked a celebration of the network’s achievements over the past year and laid the foundations for an ambitious and inspiring 2026.

Held virtually via Teams Video Conference, the AGM provided a valuable opportunity for reflection, recognition, and reaffirmation of NLN’s enduring mission: to serve as the united voice for grassroots Landcare, enhance leadership and volunteer capacity, and advocate at the national level for the vital work of caring for our land, water, and communities.

We were delighted to welcome Andrew Richards, NLN’s new Operations Manager, as Company Secretary, and expressed our heartfelt gratitude to Gerry Butler for his years of dedicated service in the role. We also bid farewell to Beth Ripper, thanking her for her significant contributions as Committee Member representing Victoria.

The Board will continue with its strong leadership, comprising:

  • Steve Bunnell (Chair) – Landcare NSW
  • Andy Kenyon – Landcare NT
  • Peter Voller – Landcare Tasmania
  • Anne-Marie Offer – WA Landcare Network
  • John Chester – Landcare Association of South Australia
  • Karen Denny – Landcare ACT
  • Vacant – Landcare Victoria
  • John Brisbin – Queensland Water and Land Carers (QWALC)

We extend our sincere thanks to the entire Board and NLN staff for their tireless dedication, guidance, and resilience throughout a year of significant transition and challenges. Looking ahead, we are excited to embark on a new chapter with our newly appointed CEO, Michelle Young, whose wealth of leadership experience and fresh vision promise to steer the organisation towards even greater accomplishments.
