Whether you’re ready to get your hands dirty or just starting to explore, we’ll help you find your place in Tasmania’s Landcare movement. Join us for a friendly, guided online session on how to navigate Landcare Tasmania’s newly updated website. We’ll show you how to: Find and connect with local Landcare groups Discover volunteer opportunities and events Access resources like our Landcare Lending Library Submit projects and be informed of available grants Stay in the loop with news and updates Whether you're a new volunteer, a long-time supporter, or simply interested in sustainability, this session will help you explore the many ways you can get involved in caring for Tasmania’s natural places. Like to meet up in person?  Drop in to the Hobart Lending Library where, as part of Adult Learners Week we're joining Libraries Tasmania from 2pm on Monday 1st September, to answer all questions about getting involved with Landcare!

Landcare Build Skills: Using iNaturalist for Landcare

Ever wondered how tech can make Landcare easier? iNaturalist is more than just a photo app—it’s helping researchers track species changes, discover new plants, and even rediscover ones thought extinct! 🌼 This session will walk you through the basics, then dive into how member groups, farmers, and individuals can use it to set up surveys, find what’s flowering, and contribute to Australia’s most accessible biodiversity database. Join Eve from WALN, PhD candidate Thomas Mesaglio, Juliet Seers, and Cam Slatyer from CSIRO as they explore the power of iNaturalist for landcarers.
