Invest in Landscapes

Linking investment-ready Landcare initiatives with government, philanthropic and private sector partners

Connecting community-led action to national impact

Invest in Landscapes is the NLN’s ‘project bank’ — a collection of high-quality, investment-ready Landcare projects proposed by our members that require funding or support.

Each project is driven by strong community leadership to address landscape level challenges. The projects are designed for co-investment and scalability.

Investment-ready projects currently available are listed below. Additional projects will be added to this page as they are developed.

    Why Invest in Landscapes?

Addressing Australia’s environmental challenges requires coordinated action across whole landscapes, guided by local knowledge and strong partnerships.

Landcare provides the foundation for this work through:

    • Trusted, locally based community networks for connection and resilience
    • Partnerships with diverse stakeholders including farmers, First Nations peoples, researchers and all levels of governments
    • Governance that provides support and capacity building at the local level

    A Landscape Approach

Invest in Landscapes draws on the landscape scale planning of Landcare Victoria’s New Futures program . These approaches show how community networks can shift from site-based work to coordinated, landscape level outcomes.

By linking local priorities to regional planning, Invest in Landscapes:

    • Aligns community action with national and international climate and nature goals
    • Increases overall impact and supports measurement across regions
    • Strengthens the case for long-term investment

    For Investors and Partners

    Invest in Landscapes offers:

    • Access to community driven, investment-ready projects across Australia
    • Clear details of outcomes and risks
    • Co‑branding and partnership opportunities
