Why Invest in Landscapes?
Addressing Australia’s environmental challenges requires coordinated action across whole landscapes, guided by local knowledge and strong partnerships.
Landcare provides the foundation for this work through:
- Trusted, locally based community networks for connection and resilience
- Partnerships with diverse stakeholders including farmers, First Nations peoples, researchers and all levels of governments
- Governance that provides support and capacity building at the local level
A Landscape Approach
Invest in Landscapes draws on the landscape scale planning of Landcare Victoria’s New Futures program . These approaches show how community networks can shift from site-based work to coordinated, landscape level outcomes.
By linking local priorities to regional planning, Invest in Landscapes:
- Aligns community action with national and international climate and nature goals
- Increases overall impact and supports measurement across regions
- Strengthens the case for long-term investment
For Investors and Partners
Invest in Landscapes offers:
- Access to community driven, investment-ready projects across Australia
- Clear details of outcomes and risks
