Invest in Landscapes is the NLN’s ‘project bank’ — a collection of high-quality, investment ready Landcare projects proposed by our members that require funding or support. Each project:

  • Addresses clear environmental challenges
  • Aligns with regional or state landscape plans
  • Shows strong community leadership
  • Has defined outcomes and measurable indicators
  • Is designed for co-investment and scalability

Why Invest in Landscapes?

Australia faces many connected environmental challenges — including biodiversity loss, damaged soils, climate risks and water security issues. Solving these problems requires coordinated action across whole landscapes, guided by local knowledge and strong partnerships.

Invest in Landscapes draws on the landscape scale planning of Landcare Victoria’s New Futures program . These approaches show how community networks can shift from site-based work to coordinated, landscape level outcomes.
