The call for contributions for CitSciOz25 – A Catalyst for Change is officially open! From October 13–15, 2025, Melbourne Connect will be buzzing with energy as researchers, community leaders, and passionate individuals come together to celebrate the power of citizen science and Landcare.

The National Landcare Network’s Volunteer Working Group kicked off in April with shared energy and purpose. STLO representatives from across the country came together and shared challenges and opportunities, from reducing the admin burden on volunteers to strengthening recruitment pathways and measuring our collective impact.

The ACNC have updated their guidance to help charities understand what they can and can’t do during an election period. The sector has an important role in advocating for their causes, and they are allowed to campaign on issues that align with their charitable purpose. However, they cannot promote or oppose a political party or candidate.
