Call for Abstracts – Community-driven Landcare Stories at the 2025 National Landcare Conference

Mar 14, 2025

The 2025 National Landcare Conference is Australia’s largest knowledge-sharing and networking event for landcarers and those involved in agriculture and natural resource management. It’s a bi-annual conference that allows participants to explore best practices, share information and stories, create partnerships, and bring new ideas back to their communities. Presentations from the conference can be used for training and development purposes to build capacity for landcare groups and communities.

Landcare Australia is calling for abstracts from individuals, groups, and organisations for the community-driven Landcare stream sessions on 22-23 September 2025. The call is open to volunteers, Landcare groups, Traditional Owners and First Nations organisations, landholders, farmers, researchers, academics, government organisations, young adults, and others involved in sustainable land management and conservation activities.

The conference theme is “Landcare: Nature, Agriculture, Land and People Positive,” highlighting inclusivity and the intersection of sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation. Abstracts should align with the theme and focus on areas such as nature repair, climate adaptation, biodiversity restoration, environmental conservation, sustainable agriculture, partnerships, innovation, mental health and wellbeing, First Nations Traditional Knowledge, communications, volunteering, and future leaders of Landcare.

Submit your abstract by 17 April 2025 for sessions on 22-23 September 2025. Full details and guidelines can be found at Calls for Abstracts – National Landcare Conference.
