Expressions of Interest for NLN’s Public Gift Fund Committee Now Open!

Aug 25, 2025

The National Landcare Network (NLN) is pleased to announce the establishment of its Public Gift Fund, recently endorsed with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. This milestone marks a new chapter in our mission to empower communities, protect Australia’s natural environment, and cultivate sustainable landscapes through grassroots Landcare initiatives.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from Responsible Persons—as defined by the Australian Taxation Office—to join the Management Committee overseeing this fund. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in environmental organisations and a commitment to transparent, impactful stewardship of public donations.

About the National Landcare Network

NLN works in partnership with our peak body members, local Landcare groups, First Nations communities, government, and environmental organisations to:

  • Restore native ecosystems and plant trees
  • Conserve threatened species and habitats
  • Support and train volunteers
  • Develop educational resources and outreach programs
  • Advance sustainable land management practices across industries

Your involvement will help ensure that donations are directed toward these vital efforts, amplifying the impact of community-led environmental action across Australia.

Committee Responsibilities

As a member of the Management Committee, you will help:

  • Oversee the ethical and transparent use of donated funds
  • Ensure alignment with NLN’s constitutional objectives
  • Support strategic decisions that maximise environmental and community outcomes
  • Uphold the integrity of the Public Gift Fund in accordance with DGR requirements

Why Join?

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Landcare in Australia
  • Collaborate with passionate leaders and changemakers
  • Contribute to a legacy of environmental stewardship and resilience

If you are a Responsible Person with experience in the environmental sector and a passion for community-driven conservation, we encourage you to submit your expression of interest.
