The National Feral Cat and Fox Management Coordination Program is running two free day-long online forums dedicated to sharing knowledge on effective fox and feral cat management. This will be a fantastic opportunity to engage experts, learn about new tools, and hear about case studies from around Australia.
Day 2 – Feral Cat Management – August 21st 2025 commencing at 9:00am AEST
- Keynotes: Peter Flemming on the importance of strategic management, and Ben Allen on applying new technologies to old problems
- Case studies: Hear from the Indigenous Desert Alliance, West Tamar Landcare on community feral cat management, Flinders Island Cat Eradication Program, and a Tasmanian agricultural disease expert.
- Tools & techniques how-tos: Baiting, Felixer units, cage and leghold trapping, soft net traps, trap alerts, monitoring, FeralScan, and firearms.
